Kijabe Practical Training Center (KPTC)
Equipping young men and women with life skills needed to earn a living and contribute to their communities.
The Foundation is complete! UniReach board member Doug Gillaspie will be in Kijabe Kenya in Late February for a first hand look at the progress. With your help we hope to raise the remaining $10,000 needed so that construction can be completed this spring. If God prompts you to be part of this project, you can click the "Donate" button below to give through PayPal or send a check made out to UniReach International to:
Please include the word "Kijabe" on the memo line of your check. KPTC was founded by Blasto Maina (pictured at top right), who was born in Kijabe and has deep family roots in this central region of Kenya. He is the single father of three children. Blasto was trained in the welding and mechanical trades as a young man and earned his living with those skills for many years. In 2000 He lost his wife to AIDES. In 2002 he joined the staff of Little Lambs AIDES orphans ministry where he has functioned as project manager for over a decade. The KPTC Vision is to be the premier vocational training center in Kijabe and neighboring villages.
